Explosion Injures Seven Aboard Icebreaker Louis S. St Laurent

An electrical malfunction in the control panel is suspected as the cause of an explosion and fire aboard the icebreaker Louis S. St Laurent off Sydney Nova Scotia. Seven crew were injured two seriously. the ship was towed to Dartmouth for investigation. A second icebreaker Wolfe aided in evacuations and firefighting.
