Kinsmen donate 75K to Medicine Hat Leisure Centre
The Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat contributes 75000 to the city for the Family Leisure Centre expansion. Funds will be released over three years for the Kinsmen Plaza and KINcession, adding a 21000 square foot outdoor space alongside the existing 218000 square foot facility and Aquatic Centre. Kaleidoscope fundraiser partly postponed to September in Elkwater
The 12-34 Café annual fundraiser for Kaleidoscope of the Arts is partially postponed to September due to rain. The event supports Prairie Rose students with art displays and performances at the Esplanade in Medicine Hat, plus fundraising for CARC and local breakfast and lunch programs. The silent and live auctions are moved to the fall while the café event proceeds with a jazz festival pairing and steak supper.

Alberta links first responders with province wide AFRRCS system
A province wide radio network AFRRCS will launch in July enabling Alberta EMS police and fire to share communications. Nine years and 438 million dollars built hundreds of towers with participation voluntary for 35 agencies including RCMP and Alberta Health Services. Fort McMurray wildfire response showcased the system enabling 32 fire departments to coordinate with command.
