Jail for dad and house arrest for mom in Ezekiel Stephan case
David Stephan received four months in jail while Collet Stephan faces three months of house arrest for failing to provide the necessities of life in the 2012 death of 18 month old Ezekiel. Justice Rodney Jerke cited blame and remorse differences and noted David’s online campaigning and trivialization of his son’s illness. He contrasted their decision making leading up to Ezekiel’s death and described David as wilfully blind.
