Local Casualties from West Front Fighting

The wife of Trooper J Braden was officially notified of his death in the recent heavy fighting on the West Front. Braden served in the O M E and farms near Claresholm where he married shortly before enlisting. Lieut D W Jackson died of wounds. he long served as Quarter Master Sergeant of the Mounted Police at Lethbridge and went via Medicine Hat on November 20 toward England to a commission in an Imperial regiment.

General Assembly to Meet in London Ont Next Year

London reports Premier Lloyd George outlined the Irish convention plan inviting John Redmond to nominate five members and Sir George Lonsdale to nominate five, with William O'Brien nominating two.
