Trapper Silas Bolenball Missing Near Fort Assiniboine

More than 100 volunteers resumed a search for 92 year old trapper Silas Bolenball who vanished in dense bush near Fort Assiniboine 110 miles northwest of Edmonton. He was last seen three weeks ago and may be with another trapper or on a short trip. most clothing remained in his cabin.

Harvard trainer crash lands near Lethbridge injures two

An RCAF instructor and a student pilot escaped injury when their Harvard training aircraft crash landed and burned about 20 miles north of Lethbridge during a scheduled low level training flight from Claresholm base. Cause of the crash was not known.
