The Medicine Hat Little Theatre movement held its organizational meeting at City Hall. Despite a modest turnout due to other attractions and short publicity, organizers plan to form a society with a $1 membership. Rev Malcom Stewart chaired the meeting with Nellie Huckvale secretary pro tem. Officers elected were J H Chaseley president A P Burns vice president Maurice Stone secretary Sid ney Martin treasurer C Blanchard production manager and Percy Yeo business manager. A constitution will be drafted for ratification at the June 6 meeting.

Three women held as hostages by five convicts who escaped from the Kansas penitentiary at Lansing were released near Pleasanton Kansas and are unharmed. The captives were Louise Wood her invalid mother and Miss Cloris Wears. No trace of the convicts has been found.
