Simcoe sworn as first lieutenant governor of Upper Canada
July 8 1792 John Graves Simcoe takes oath as the first lieutenant governor of Upper Canada now Ontario. The Medicine Hat public school district seeks a new principal with a note that married men and disciplinarians are preferred. Louis Jordan born in Brinkley Arkansas in 1915 formed Tympany Five in 1938 and helped shape rhythm and blues with hits Caldonia Let the Good Times Roll Choo Choo Ch Boogie and the Broadway musical Five Guys Named Moe titled after a 1943 hit.

Two Suspects In Custody In GP Gas Bar Robbery
