Medicine Hat welcomes the Assiniboia Hotel a four story 100 room property at South Railway and Third St The opening is planned for next Wednesday Jan 7 with Alfred Alf Cantalini as general manager and George Cantalini as president The Picardy Coffee Shop will be run by Robert Arkle and catering for dining room banquets and coffee shop will be handled by Picardy staff The hotel replaces the old Assiniboia that burned in 1945 and aims to attract conventions and visitors to the city.

Pay Rise For 100000 US Forces in Japan
