Extradition Sought for Daniel O'Connor from California

RCMP Commissioner L H Nicholson said Canada likely will seek extradition of Daniel William O'Connor to face an attempted murder charge in British Columbia. The 29 year old Detroit-born man was detained near Penticton on May 14 1958 for questioning in a series of offences after allegedly drawing a revolver and firing twice, then striking a constable. BC authorities will determine if he will waive traditional extradition and return voluntarily.
