Ontario judge finds parts of pot law unconstitutional
An Ontario judge ruled sections of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act unconstitutional when marijuana is used for medically approved purposes. Judge Patrick Sheppard stayed charges against 42 year old Terry Parker, an epileptic, and said denying marijuana for his treatment is unconstitutional. The decision could invite similar challenges in other provinces.
