Ottawa imposes federal tax increases on whisky wine beer cigarets cigars and tobacco by about 10 percent effective today. Provinces may raise prices further. A pack of 20 cigarettes rises 2 cents a 25 cent cigar 34 of a cent and pipe tobacco small increases. Whisky bottle gains 15 to 13 cents and wine with 7 percent or less rises 34 cent while stronger wine rises 1 cent.
