The Library is the affordable option for avid readers she said and a place for those downsizing and simplifying their lives who dont have room for every Book. And As the Community grows the Library is a Way to meet others Ross said. I think increasingly. As people Are kind of More isolated by technology they re looking for ways of meeting other people said Ross. In a Way the Library is important in helping people who Are kind of isolated by technology come Back together meet other people and connect with their Community and find like minded people to learn from and learn with. Theress the successful human Library project where people can sign up to talk with different people about different topics. They could just look it up on the internet but actually they want to talk to a person. Or theress a growing interest in learning older skills like knitting or Canning that years ago would have been passed Down in the family. Now theress actually a whole generation of people that want those old skills and want someone to help them facilitate the older skills. Knitting is hugely popular Here. Some parents worry about the isolation of kids playing games like min Craft alone so the Library has nights where kids come together to create min Craft paper crafts. And the kids have a wonderful time because they re together doing it is. Each in their own basement doing it. The Library is also a backup plan said Ross if technology gets too expensive fails or if Laws change. For example copyright Laws could change or authors and publishers could change their Model and things like books could be gone tomorrow. The Library is also charged with trying to remember everything she said guard against the loss of information As technology changes and connect people with whatever they re looking for. The Library did not come about a Century ago because a Bunch of librarians went knocking door to door saying they needed a Library to work in said Ross.
