Medicine Hat agrees to three way energy pact with Can carb TranCanada
The city of Medicine Hat, Can carb Limited, and TransCanada Power sign a three way deal to sell natural gas to Can carb for expansion and to buy electricity from a new 38 megawatt plant. The 20 year agreement covers fuel, power supply, and future industrial growth with 205 megawatts total capacity. Construction could start in early 1999, creating about 25 permanent jobs and 130 temporary positions.

Titanic hull plate raised from wreck 86 years later
