Edmonton officials held talks with C P R manager Whyte who said the railway would not operate the Strathcona Edmonton line and that Calgary and Edmonton Railway should handle it. Cattle Prosecution at Maple Creek Dismissed
At Maple Creek a rancher W T Minor was charged with branding a yearling bull belonging to T W Smith. Prosecution led by Corporal Redmond and Calgary lawyer P J Nolan. witnesses said the steer bore Minor's brand but could not justify why it was unbranded earlier. Minor testified the animal was his, and the justice dismissed the charge.
