College eyes enrolment boost at Medicine Hat College

Medicine Hat College president Ralph Weeks says a 7 percent drop in enrolment from 1993-94 to 1996 cost about 42 students and roughly $75,000 under Alberta’s performance funding. The province will grant $15 million based on graduate satisfaction and employability, with the college receiving a 1 percent minimum and up to 2.5 percent of its Advanced Education budget. Weeks notes enrolment weight hurt the college and outlines plans to add programs for employed students as registration improves this year.
