Death of M. Rutledge in Enloe community
Mr. M. Rutledge aged 77 died at 9:50 Tuesday morning at the home of his son in law W. G. Drake in the Enloe area after long illness. A Kentucky native resident of Collin county for 24 years he leaves a wife one daughter and two sons Dr W C Rutledge of Denison Dr J T Rutledge of Silo Oklahoma and Mary J Drake of Enloe. He also leaves two brothers and three sisters H C Rutledge New Mexico William Rutledge Wilmeth Cattie Odle Biggers Julia Ann Odle McKinney Betsy Willis Kentucky. Interment was at Wilson Chapel Wednesday conducted by Eld John McKinney. Condolences extended to the family.

C Savell proprietor of the Bee Hive was severely injured near the northeast corner of the square between 4 30 and 5 am. A complaint charging Night Policeman Tom Chambliss with assault to murder was filed with bond set at 750. Accounts differ whether a dog or knife was involved and whether Savell used a knife or Chambliss a pistol. Dr J B Hunter treated Savell who was taken home and is resting well.
