California Men For Kidnaping Alleged To Have Kidnapped
Trials of Milton T. Shafer and Fred C. Simmons for kidnaping were set in Judge Grover Adams' court. The California bonding company employees allegedly abducted C. C. Compton, wanted in Los Angeles for jumping a $5,000 bond, as they traveled west before being arrested in Brownwood and returned to Dallas. Joint Funeral Services For Two Orphan Children
Dallas, June 15. Joint funeral services were held at Buckner Orphan's Home for Mildred King 16 who died Sunday and Ishmael Akin 14 who was killed Monday by lightning while helping dig the grave for Miss King. Ishmael buried near the grave he digged. Luther Hawthorne 17 burned and fifteen others knocked down. Ishmael son of late Rev J Akin a Baptist minister who came to Texas from New Mexico and died near Dallas ten years ago. He is survived by brother Oddie 12 and sister Cleo 14 at the home.
