831 head passed through the McKinney auction with bulls in greater supply than demand. Stocker calves brought 26 to 30 dollars per hundred, with larger bulls up to 27.50. Hogs topped at 21.50, cows around 18 to 19, and sheep at 10 per head. A farm tour will feature performance tested bulls at Charlie Ball's farm as traders read highs and lows for the day.

McKinney Council Creates Three Man Equalization Board
The McKinney City Council appoints a three member Board of Equalization with James Caldwell as chairman and J B Merriman and Paul Scott as members. The board meets with city taxpayers Monday at 9 a.m. in the city manager's office and with the school district taxpayers on June 22 at the School Tax office. Appearance is by appointment to the tax assessor. Bids for municipal building furnishings and a Bois d Arc Rd bridge are discussed, with the total bridge cost about 17500. Mayor Finney notes bids and councilmen study them. City Manager Cope will attend the Texas City Managers Meeting in Galveston next week.

The Texas Power and Light Co. president T L Austin Jr will address the McKinney Rotary Club at noon Friday. He became president in May succeeding retiree W W Lynch and has a background as executive VP and operations head. Austin, a University of Alabama engineer, served in WWII and joined TP&L in 1959 after Industrial Generating Co stint. The club meets at the First Christian Church fellowship hall.

Melissa Man Hurt Monday In Collision
A dump truck-tractor collision on the Highway 75 service road near Rock Hill Road injured one driver and caused major damage. Robert S. Thompson of Melissa, driving a 1966 Massey Ferguson tractor, was thrown beneath the tractor and sustained head and chest injuries. He was transported to Collin Memorial Hospital and listed in fair condition.

A regional Education Service Center will be formed in Plano to serve North Texas and extend to the Red River.
