A housetrailer broke loose from a pickup and overturned in a ditch on State Highway 28 South of Celina at 8:30 Monday evening. Deputies Vaughn and Bentley investigated. Marvin L. Lester of Davenport Iowa drove the truck and escaped injury. Trailer damage estimated at $1,000.

Local Officers Report Arrests in Coun ty Jail
Sixteen prisoners were in county jail Monday morning per sheriff reports. Deputies arrested a woman in Celina Saturday described as a mental case and returned her to Fort Worth Sunday. Two men were jailed for drunkenness and fighting Sunday at the circle on Highways 75 and 121. Additional drunks were transferred from Plano and Celina. A juvenile will appear in court after Sheriff Williams’ Waco trip. City police reported three drunks and one DWI. Felony theft charges against a local youth for a radio theft from the Texas Motel were to be filed Monday. Officers recovered the radio Saturday.

Two Local Men Injured In Wreck Friday Night
Boyd Williams and John Gay of McKinney were injured when their car overturned in a ditch on the Friendship farm road near Friendship Baptist Church. Returning from a Wylie meeting, Williams driver met an oncoming vehicle that crowded his car onto a bridge center. Both men received facial cuts and were taken to City-County Hospital. Williams’s car was nearly total loss. The other driver’s identity was not known.

Forest Bob Lewis 20 died from injuries after being struck on Highway 24 near McKinney three miles east of Joom Down store. Billy Truman Jones of Nacogdoches driving with wife and son Jack failed to stop in time. Work at the Princeton Migrant camp began Monday under the direction of Rev. David Harrison of San Antonio Eunice Vasquez of Mexico and Miss Betty Whittaker field worker in charge of the Migrant Ministry in Texas.
