Longtime Texan John H Orenduff Dies at 75
John Hayes Orendaff known as John H Orenduff died after nearly two years of illness. Born July 4 1887 in Kentucky he moved to Texas with his parents and settled near McKinney. He managed the old City Hotel, supported Melissa Presbyterian church, and was famed for hospitality. He left a large family including children in Oklahoma Texas and Illinois and was survived by his second wife Mattie Claycomb and a stepson Jesse Claycomb. Funeral was at his home Friday at 4 pm conducted by Rev. E B Fincher.
