H R Gearhart of Gunter, a first class Gray son county farmer, transacted business in McKinney Tuesday to obtain tractor parts and have repairs done at Watkins and Cockrell garage ahead of wheat harvest. His mother, Mrs B F Gearhart, owns near four hundred acres west of Gunter, with H R managing and cultivating part of it. Wheat and oats crops look excellent this year. Recent showers helped, but steady working weather is needed for harvest. The Gunter district had a normal cotton yield last year.
