In Collin county three Baptist gatherings are slated for June. The county wide B Y P U association meets at Celina June 14 to 15 with speakers including Dr. Hl. L. Durham and Rev K Chapman. A county wide W M U day is set for Foote church June 15. Leonard Baptist Encampment begins June 22 with Dr George W Truett and De R L Bates headlining the ten day program.

Dormitory Rent At S M U To Rise For 1926 27
Dallas June 2 University of Dallas catalog for 1926 27 shows sharp rent increases at Southern Methodist dormitories. Men will pay 27 to 65 per semester per room at Atkins Hall while sharing two to a room. Women pay 62 50 to 100 per semester depending on dormitory and share two per room. New dormitories under construction will offer modern conveniences.

Church destroyed as storm hits Farmersville
Farmersville, June 2. Primitive Baptist church was totally destroyed by a violent windstorm that tore down outhouses and uprooted trees. The storm disrupted the town's electric plant for hours and dropped four inches of rain. Farm crops and gardens suffered damage, with wheat and oat crops reportedly hurt substantially. Mrs. J. T. Wilson returned from Sherman after visiting relatives.

Greenville Foreman Buried Alive in Ditch Cave In
John T. McAfee 44 a National Purification foreman died when a drainage ditch fifteen feet deep caved in during pipeline work in Greenville Texas. Workman Murray Edwards was partially buried but rescued unharmed. McAfee survived by his wife and three young children and his parents Mr and Mrs A J McAfee of Frederick OK.

Daylight Hold-Up of Oak Cliff Bank Loot Tallies $15 000 to $20 900
Three men robbed the Oak Cliff Bank and Trust Co in broad daylight around 4:30 PM near a busy Dallas business district. They fled in a Ford touring car after forcing cashiers to fill a bag with money. Officials issued alerts as police searched for suspects aged 25 to 30 with the vehicle described.

Austin College Grants Degrees in Final Commencement
Sherman Texas June 2 Tuesday marked the final commencement at Austin College. The board met at 10 pm and the band played a campus concert at 6 39 pm. W Thornton Read delivered the commencement address in Sherman Hall. Degrees awarded include Master of Arts to several graduates and Bachelor of Arts to many others. Building plans were approved for a new administration building named Houston Hall. Professor Charles C. Scott was named professor emeritus. Intercollegiate baseball was discontinued. The president reported 387 enrolled for the year, a rise of 45 students. The Austin College Alumni Association elected officers and amended its constitution to become the Austin College Alumni and Ex-Students Association.

Knights of Pythias Elect Officers for Ensuing Term
L M Goddard was elected chancellor commander of the local Knights of Pythias lodge at a Tuesday night meeting. The lodge conferred Page on two candidates and announced new officers to be installed in July for a six month term. Hold over officers were named for one year including J M Foster and Ed Gray, with other posts filled. H W Cline retires as chancellor commander after a prosperous term. The lodge meets weekly and conducts rank work at most meetings.

The Dallas Times-Herald reports Somboges Fox Agatha a Fort Worth Jersey cow owned by Mistletoe Creamery Farms set a new state daily milk record of 81.3 pounds. The cow averaged over 70 pounds daily in April and 68.5 pounds over 78 days since freshening, also holding a butter record.

Little Denton Girl Drowns in Private Pool
Buddy Paddel nine daughter of Mr and Mrs H B Pad del of Denton drowned in a private pool south of the city Tuesday afternoon. She could not swim entered shallow water and after half an hour was found in five feet of water as five lifeguards had been stationed at the pool.
