Bucktail Carnival at Bucktail Post a Splendid Success
The Second Annual May Carnival of Bucktail Post drew a large crowd Friday night with a vaudeville program featuring Grace Almatrach and Joly Hamilton in dance numbers, soloists and chorus by local girls, a colorful gypsy caravan by the Travelers Chub Sextette, and a comedic police arrest finale by Chief Michael O’Brien. The show included operatic and Spanish dance, songs by Mrs. Irma Cather and others, plus numerous ensembles and al fresco costumes, ending in high praise for the performers and the police officer’s lighthearted closing act.
