The Maurice Times issues weekly editions edited by J F Van Gorkom. It is published as second class matter at Maurice TN Post Office under federal act of March 8 1879. Subscriptions are $1 25 per year if prepaid and $1 50 otherwise.

The 19th Iowa session laws require landowners to destroy all noxious weeds including Quack grass and Canada thistle on lands and road rights of way. Township trustees must enforce weed removal on highways and may impose fines or tax costs for noncompliance.
On account of the Interstat at Sioux City from Sept 20 to 23 the C N W will run a special train on Sept 21. It leaves Maurice in Ra M and arrives in Sioux City at 1:00 AM. Depart Sioux City at 5:30 PM. Reduced rate tickets on sale Sept 20 to 25. Return limit Sept 27. Round trip price 1.25 dollars.
All persons not yet having cut weeds on highways adjacent to lands occupied by them are notified to do so at once by order of the Board of Trustees Sherman Township.
