Wm Page conducted business in Sioux City Tuesday while Geo Moir visited LeMars Monday. M A Hawkins called on friends in Monroe this week. John Reeves relocates household goods to the Osborne farm. Gavin Moir and Mrs Moir left for Pelican Rapids Minnesota Wednesday morning. Anna Siege returned to Sioux City Monday after visiting a brother in Fox Line. Twenty four dollars was raised from a bass social attic to fund organ tuning and varnishing.
Maurice council met in regular session. Present Mayor P N Vos and councilmen Moran Van Pearsem Wanitjes Brink. absent Mieras Mensink. Minutes approved. Edwards granted saloon permit for Lt Block 9. Ordinance 44 on first reading vacating alley south of Block 12. Treasurer reported. Bills allowed: McMahon Bros 4.25 Warntjes 7.58 Van Gerkom 1.00. Meeting adjourned. Clerk J C Harrison.
P Vander Stoep and Fred Dit iner shipped a cattle load to Sioux City Monday evening. Mr and Mrs P Van Peursem entertained friends at their home Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. The Mabel and Myrtle Porter sisters visited grandparents Mr and Mrs John Myers. Chas and Henry Duven returned from Milwaukee after the death of pu Toten. Thartir G W Gefn and family moved to a new home in Minnesota. The Monaret couple, pioneer residents of Maurice, depart with friends wishing prosperity in their new home.

County Superintendent F H Fuller leads, but attendance is small while enthusiasm runs high. writers urge stronger parental backing for children’s future and call for better cooperation with teachers.
