Two junior basketball games were held Friday at the high school gym. Maurice led the first game with 17 points and 20 rebounds as his team defeated the rival. The teen team faced New Hirk in the second tilt with Maurice again starring.

The fourth annual conference on eradicating tuberculosis will be held in Sioux City on April 26 and 27 with focus on human health. Dr Charles Mayo of Rochester Minnesota may address the meeting on health-related eradication efforts. Officials invite farmers, stockmen, city and county officials, women’s clubs, and civic groups to participate. County agents will join to plan expanded cleanup in modified accredited counties. Past conferences have been held in Kansas City Omaha and St Joseph. A separate ad offers bulk chick discounts and hatchery services from Alton Hatchery Iowa.
