Trails clash as 90 landowners encroach on Old Plank Road Route
Forest Preserve District of Will County encounters 90 plus property owners along a 4.4 mile stretch of Old Plank Road Trail between Cedar Road New Lenox and Park Road Joliet Township. Encroachments include lawns sheds and fences. Providence Catholic High School bleachers over the line are under negotiation. Trail completion remains targeted for November with final 14 miles next year. District may sue one driveway owner over land rights while most owners complied.
