Glenwood backs incinerator plan with study delay
Glenwood Village Board approves a resolution supporting an area wide solid waste disposal plan but delays commitments to any firm. The move follows a Sept. 5 briefing on a proposed recycling and incinerator facility and ongoing discussion within the 38 member South Suburban association. The board also addressed easement issues with Commonwealth Edison, planned an open house for Fire Prevention Week, recognized summer yard contest winners, and awarded bids for sidewalk work and park improvements.
