Man denies kidnapping mayor in Flossmoor case
Andre Mitchell, 20, of Country Club Hills, pleaded innocent on charges of armed robbery and aggravated unlawful restraint in the August 23 incident targeting Roger Molski, 60, mayor of Flossmoor. Woman dies in single vehicle crash on Exchange Avenue
A 30 year old Lansing woman Maxine Moore died in a Sunday morning one car crash on Exchange Avenue in unincorporated Crete Township. Her car veered onto the north shoulder, crossed eastbound lanes, left the roadway, hit a culvert and overturned repeatedly. Moore, not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and crushed by the car as it struck street signs. She was taken to St James Hospital in Chicago Heights where she was pronounced dead.

Thornridge band director charged with DUI in Country Club Hills
Thornridge High School band director David L. Eanes, 46, faced a DUI charge after police say he drove 50 mph in a 30 mph construction zone on Cicero Avenue. He allegedly fled a stop, was eventually halted by three squad cars, and failed a sobriety test. Eanes, a 13 year Thornridge veteran, called the incident a misunderstanding. District 205 Superintendent Kamala Buckner declined comment.
