Country Club Hills residents, including four men and three boys, were charged with mob action after a Park Lane fight. Police seized two four inch knives and charged several others in related assaults, obstructions, and threats. A separate case saw a hotel roof death investigation delayed due to Hurricane Luis. Additional arrests covered traffic stops, burglary, weapon possession, and a canine unit arrest aiding a suspect’s surrender.
Park Forest police detained two local teens after a Tuesday evening drive by on Apache Street in Eastgate. A 15 year old was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and placed at Arthur J. Audy Juvenile Home. A 16 year old driver will be petitioned to juvenile court. No injuries or property damage occurred. The incident, tied to a gang rivalry linked to Ombudsman Educational Services in Matteson, involved two to three shots from a .25 caliber pistol.
