Sotiros Ward murder case remains under review four years on
Will County Deputy Chief John Moss says no new information on Joe Sotiros murder as of Friday. On Sept 13, 1991, the 53 year old founder of Hegewisch Discount Records and Tapes was found shot three times, with two suspects identified by his sister Brenda Sotiros who believes a money motive and inside help were involved. She notes a private investigator and witnesses supported two men visiting the home the day after the murder, while police ruled out mob involvement though two others may have aided. She has offered 20,000 and previously 100,000 reward funds, after spending about 50,000 in pursuit of justice.
