High school gym adds nontraditional courses many students embrace
In District 218 and beyond, gyms depart from ball sports toward activities like rock climbing, diving, yoga, and dance. Students can earn credit for pursuits such as scuba diving, weight training, and outdoor adventures, with trips including shipwreck dives and rock climbing.
