Changes approved for I 80 amusement park plan in Tinley Park
The Tinley Park Village Board approved updates to the concept plan for an amusement park along Interstate 80. The parking will face South Road with the park south of Oak Park Avenue at Harlem Avenue. The plan includes a water slide go kart track and mini NASCAR style race track plus a 25 000 square foot entertainment center. Development partner Aristotle Hawkins said work could begin soon and the main building could open in winter.

Officials back regional plan for I-80 corridor growth
Country Club Hills officials endorsed forming an I-80 Corridor Planning Council to coordinate growth along the I-80 corridor and seek a state start-up grant.
