Frankfort Tightens Rules on Mobile Home Parks

Frankfort Village Board approved an amendment Tuesday to create strict standards for mobile home parks. Officials say the guidelines align with regular subdivisions and will deter large high density parks within the corporate limits and surrounding 1.5 mile Will County area. The measure aims to ensure communities contribute taxes and services, and would involve county cooperation if a proposal arises. Gateway Mobile Home Park near Route 45 is cited as an example of the need for clear guidelines.
