Weather pendulum swings 25 years and more ahead

Climatologist Stanley Changnon links recent Midwest droughts floods and hurricanes to analog years 1930 1954 and 1982 suggesting a long lasting cycle. He warns of spring flooding and above normal rainfall in the region with a 50 50 chance of continued severe swings into 2007 and beyond.
