Prairie State college weighs options to cover growing deficits
Prairie State college trustees considered funding the deficit with working cash loans repaid from tax receipts or state aid, selling up to 2 million in working cash bonds, or borrowing from banks with future tax receipts. Other ideas include selling bonds for wage payments, tax equity plans, referendums, tuition or fee increases, property sales, and boosting enrollment. A golf driving range on the south campus was also proposed.
