State cops target truckers at Will County scale stop
Illinois State Police using a mini portable scale at Route 30 and Harlem Avenue weighed 48 trucks from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday, issuing five overweight fines, 13 citations and 53 warnings. Five trucks were placed out of service for unsafe conditions, including Lorenz and Son Inc. of Lancaster with four tickets and eight warnings. A Bisping Construction truck from New Lenox received 11 violations.
