Tightened disability rules set for Illinois early intervention
Illinois and federal officials finalized new eligibility standards for early intervention services, raising the disability threshold from 25 to 40 percent. The change, backed by about 14 million dollars annually in federal funding, shifts which infants and toddlers qualify and reshapes administration with a central billing office and local entry points across communities including Homewood, Joliet, and Springfield.
