Barnes optimistic on bus bill passage
State Rep. Jane M. Barnes predicts a transportation bill for private and parochial school students will reach the General Assembly soon. She plans to call Senate Bill 812 before month end, confident of enough votes in a favorable House atmosphere. The measure, previously shelved, would require public districts to provide transport up to five miles from homes.
