Richton Park plans a 1998 property tax levy projected to raise the average homeowner bill by less than six dollars. Finance Director Timothy Hammond described the plan as among the village’s lowest in years and outlined readings and public hearings before filing with Cook County.
The Matteson Board approved a Miller Consolidated plan for a 100-foot identification tower at the I 57 and Route 30 auto mall. The sign will read Matteson Auto Mall and include a clock plus 24 panels naming dealerships and businesses. The tower aims to guide motorists from I 57, with the mall hosting 14 dealerships and nine partner businesses.
