St James joins six-hospital Unified HealthCare Network
St James Hospital and Medical Centers joins six Catholic Chicago area hospitals to form the Unified HealthCare Network a limited liability company aimed at an integrated delivery system across Chicagoland The partners own seven hospitals with nearly 3000 beds serving the North Side South Side and suburbs and plan to contract with HMOs PPOs and employers while preserving each hospital's governance This regional network seeks to expand access and improve efficiency with more than 1 million annual patients served and over 2 300 physicians across the Chicago area.
