Chicago Heights men charged after gun incident at 23rd Street
Chicago Heights police say Lewis Fowler III and James Coleman were arrested for unlawful use of a weapon after a fight outside an apartment building. Fowler fired several times but no injuries were reported. Both face firearm card possession charges and court on November 16.

Teen from Monee charged after wreck during city chase
A 14 year old from Monee who took the family car without permission lost control, crashed into a van in the 4900 block of 185th Court during a chase through city streets Friday. He was charged with resisting arrest fleeing and eluding speeding failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident not using headlights not having a valid license and driving without proof of insurance.

Two teens face charges after stolen vehicle incident
Hazel Crest resident Michelle Benniefield aged 18 at 3308 Charlemagne Avenue was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle and lacking a valid driver license after being seen driving a stolen car around 12 15 p m in the 17600 block of Stonebridge Drive. Passeng er William Hughes aged 17 of Harvey also faced criminal trespass to vehicle charges. They have a October 12 court date in Markham.
