Will County sees 37 percent rise in toxic releases in 1991
Illinois IEPA reports 1991 Will County released 10.8 million pounds of toxic chemicals, up 37 percent from 1990, with eight million pounds transferred off site for recycling or energy recovery. Forty-one facilities reported releases, led by Cook County statewide.
