A Tuesday incident outside LaPergola on Dixie Highway involved a woman reportedly using a gun to threaten a man during a domestic dispute, authorities said. Police were informed by an Orland Hills man. further injuries were not reported.
A 14 year old Hazel Crest resident was charged with endangering the life of a child for leaving his 10 month old sister alone on May 19 in the 16700 block of Dixie Highway. He was picked up on an unrelated charge of stealing bike parts and petitioned to juvenile court after DCFS was notified. Richard Bertalan of Lansing died from injuries after a May 5 crash at 183rd Street and Kedzie Avenue Hazel Crest. The driver, a Homewood woman, lost consciousness. Bertalan was 47 and worked at a private landscape contractor. The woman and her 4 year old daughter were hospitalized. the other driver was not injured. The incident is under medical examiner review with no charges filed yet.
A car reported stolen from a driveway in the 4900 block of 187th Street was located hours later in the 4900 block of Wilshire Boulevard with no damage. Damaged car wash equipment at Spot Not Car Wash on Pulaski Road was reported between Sunday and Monday. John F. Jacks, 34, of Park Forest, was charged May 25 with drunken driving, revoked license, no insurance and failing to yield after a Route 30 collision near 84th Avenue in Frankfort. no injuries occurred and he posted a $300 bond. A Crete Township home on East Burrville was noted in the report.
Police report a drunken Saturday patron at a tavern in the 24400 block of Western returned Sunday after being barred and allegedly kicked in the front door panel. Damage valued at $325.
A white man in his mid 20s exposed himself to an office worker at an office complex near 198th Street and Governors Highway around 5 p.m. May 18. Witnesses describe the suspect as 6 feet tall with a full beard and curly brown hair, wearing a blue plaid shirt and blue jeans, who fled after the incident.
Will County sheriff's police report a burglary on Road Tuesday. Stolen items valued around 1300 dollars include jewelry a jewelry box and clothing.
