Homewood DUI case leads to arrest after crash near Frankfort Fire Station
A 49 year old Homewood woman Mary Kay Spieth faces charges for driving under the influence improper lane use reckless driving and illegal transport after a Sunday morning crash near the Frankfort Fire Station. Police say she hit a ditch went airborne landed by the firehouse and the car rolled through shrubs. Open alcohol cans and pill bottles were found. She was treated released on bond and scheduled for court.

Chicago Heights sees multiple gunfire reports and arrests
Police reported 15 gunshots across Chicago Heights over the weekend with no injuries but damaged cars and bullets found near West Main Street. Aurelio Myrie, 30, was charged with felony possession after five cocaine bags were found under a seat in a stopped car. Marnawri Boyd, 20, faces felony unlawful use of a weapon after allegedly tossing a handgun during a 100 mph chase ending on Arthur Court. Troy Lawrence, 20, was charged with reckless driving and fleeing police. Tombstones were toppled at Evergreen Hills Cemetery, eight grave markers damaged between Friday and Saturday.
