Left turn arrow sought for Vollmer
The Flossmoor Board of Trustees backed Mayor Maher's plan to ask Cook County for intersection improvements at Vollmer Road and Western Avenue. He proposed a left turn arrow signal and a 35 mph speed limit to reduce accidents as county plans to widen Vollmer to four lanes remain uncertain for years.
