Park Forest plan commission approved a revised site plan for Winstrom Manufacturing on South Street, reducing building encroachment and adding 30 feet of landscaping with 30 parking spaces. Stephen Fodor argued 65 by 150 feet worsened drainage. commission to seek easement and present to the board. A May 15 hearing in Oak Lawn will address Regional Transportation Authority route changes.
Homewood plan commission favors Plan A from Madison Square Garden to redevelop the Washington Park racetrack site into housing and mixed use. They will seek MSG answers on financing housing type park maintenance and traffic control before presenting a recommendation to the village board.

Elementary School District 159 board President Thomas Scheel announced new working committees for the 1978-79 year. Committees include building and grounds with Edward Stack and Keith McRae, finance with Cliff Eagleton and Frances Myers, special education with Edward Stack, policy with Mrs Mullins and Eagleton, negotiations led by McRae, Scheel, Mrs Myers and Mrs Mullins, curriculum with Mrs Myers, and a newfuture site and planning committee with Mrs Mullins, McRae and Mrs Myers. The board will meet next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Woodgate School in Matteson.
The Parent Teacher League of Zion Lutheran School Matteson will meet Wednesday at 7 30 p m in the church overflow room. The 1978 79 slate of candidates will be presented for voting and a social hour will follow.
