Senior e mail pals bridge generation gap at Palos West
Palos West Elementary students in Debi Pope’s class exchange weekly e mails with Peace Memorial Village seniors. The program funded by a 45000 grant has seniors learning computer skills while kids gain WWII era insight and modern technology know how. The volunteer seniors and fourth graders form cross generational friendships sharing jokes, stories, tips, and life experiences.
