Harvey man's goal is more minority doctors
John Bradley directs the Chicago Area Health and Medical Careers Program at IIT to boost minority representation in medicine. Since 1991 CAHMCP has produced 96 medical degrees and 235 are in training or in six year programs, with ongoing efforts to improve retention and academic prep for minority students. Bradley emphasizes pipeline programs from sixth grade through college to prepare minorities for professional schools. He notes success stories from Harvey residents Melba Rozella Wright and Elliott Fourte, and advertises CAHMCP contact information at IIT.
