Kosovars Find New Life with South Suburbs Hosts
Kosovar Albanian refugees, led by the Berbatovei family, arrive at O'Hare and settle with three local host families in Tinley Park and Homer Township. Narratives describe language barriers, gratitude, and efforts by Barb and Laura Brosseau, the Shermans, and the Karkulas to support Fehmi, Zajmepe, and relatives as they adjust to life in the United States.
